Day (1) Arrival of Myanmar

An Immersive Golden Land Travels’ expert will meet you at the airport in Mandalay and take you to your hotel to relax.  No activities will occur on this arrival day allowing you to adjust to jet lag and prepare for the week’s adventure ahead.  Dinner will take place at the hotel making it easy to meet the rest of the traveling group.

Day (2) Myanmar Introduction & Sightseeing 


Breakfast is served at your hotel. After getting ready for the day, you will have a quick introduction of brief history and culture of Myanmar by IGL local experts. Afterward, you will be visiting to Zay Cho market, its largest local market in upper Myanmar. Zay Cho literally means  “Cheapest Price” where you can find tons of local cheapest stuff at this market such as farming goods, minerals, clothes, And wet and dry food. You can even find thousands of items which are made in China and India as Mandalay is situated between these two countries. Exploring this bustling market will offer you a great opportunity to understand local commerce. It is a treasure trove for all photographers. It is the most colourful and largest market in the country for upper or central Myanmar.

Then head to Mahagandayone Buddhist Teaching monastery, which the second largest Buddhist teaching one in the country. Wander around to  see 1300 monks lining up to have their last meal of the day in total silence. After seeing this peaceful event, meet with monks to discuss Buddhism and understand more about the daily routine of their lives.

Following this you will across the U Bein bridge which was built in 1846 and it considered to be the longest wooden bridge in the World. Have lunch nearby, then heading back to your hotel for an afternoon break avoiding the heat outside. 


In the evening you will be visiting to the Mandalay Hill watching for the sunset. Dinner will take place in the town after watching the sunset.

Day (3) Cruising from Mandalay to Bagan

    Breakfast is served at your hotel, once you are ready for the day, you will be heading out to a local jade market. It’s the largest local jade market in the country for upper Myanmar. Hang out at this interesting market for a while to understand and learn how local jade dealers are playing, such as purchasing the hold stones, cutting into pieces, polishing and reselling them at the same place, that’s how dealers make business.

Afterward, we will drive to the Manyane Chan boat jetty to take a boat on the Irrawaddy River to the ancient city of Bagan. The boat ride will take approximately 6.5 hours and promises to be one of your most memorable activities in Myanmar. During this trip, you will see how the mighty river influences the daily lives of many people who fish, wash their clothes on the rocks along the river bed, bath, gather water and depend on the river to sustain their farms.  Hundred of water buffalos, cows other animals and will stop as you drift by, lifting their heads slowly to watch you. In addition, the scenery along the river will help you imagine the history of Myanmar, it’s political strife, commerce and everyday livelihoods of villagers. Lunch and coffee will be serviced on the boat. Expect to reach Bagan in the early evening. Once we arrive in Bagan you will check into your hotel, freshen up, go swimming or enjoy a relaxing dinner at the hotel.

We should expect to reach Bagan in the early evening and will go directly to your hotel. Use this time to relax, go swimming and end the day with a delightful dinner at the hotel.

Day (4) Full-day touring of Bagan.


After having breakfast along the Irrawaddy River, you will travel by bicycle to explore the most significant temples in Bagan. This little adventure might be the most amazing morning activity as you bike through thousands of religious monuments along the sandy paths. As you move at a peaceful pace, you will take in the beautiful landscapes, notice the artwork stands along the way, and stop along at a village where they make local products of lacquerware, cigars and sand paintings. You will learn about the craftwork and the methods used which have existed for hundreds of years.   * See Optional at the end of this day’s activities regarding Air Ballooning.

Afterward, continue to a local restaurant, which sits on the river banks, for lunch. Follow this full morning by returning to your hotel, to avoid the afternoon heat and relax.

Once your energy returns and the heat subsides, we will continue the viewing of the most relevant and important temples, not seen in the morning. At the end of your temple tour, you will be taken to a private boat to watch the sunset on the mighty Irrawaddy River. This will be followed by dinner where you will see a most charming and colorful puppet show which will bring smiles to your face. Make sure you have your camera for the entire day as there will be many things to capture.

*Optional: Before you embark on your . biking tour. We highly suggest you consider taking a Hot Air Balloon Ride. This ride is NOT inclusive in your travel package, therefore if you decide to do this balloon ride you will need to pay for it separately.  We encourage you to indulge in this activity as it will unforgettable and a lifetime experience with overseeing of 3000 temples.

Day (5) Fly out to Inle


Once you have breakfast and packed up, then check out and drive to the airport fly out to Heho (Inle) Once you have landed at Heho airport jump onto your van drive to Inle Lake for 45 minutes. On the way, you will be stopping at Shwe Yan Pyae, Pa-Oh wooden monastery for a few minutes to check out, then continue to Inle. Check into your hotel and take a rest for a while, then an evening walks around in this small town till getting to a restaurant where you will have lunch. And then, get onto your private longtail boat to explore lives on the Inle Lake. As your boat slowly driving through the veg gardens and floating villages on the lake, you will be seeing multi lives on the water. Have a few stops to visit local houses, learn the technique of how they farm and make floating gardens. Afterward you will be heading back to your hotel while watching the sunset on the way back. Dinner will be at the hotel.


Overnight in Inle, Myanmar


Day (6) Full-Day Tour on the Inle Lake.


Today is the big day as you will be all day long on the boat to explore deeper of magical Inle Lake. So wake up early this morning and leave the hotel after having breakfast as you do not want to miss the important morning rotation market. It is a colourful market where multi-ethnic tribes come to sell and buy their farm products. This is very much unlike other markets, so explore around, and see how local tribes playing with their stuff, try some local snacks, sweet tea, and shop for local products of Inle.


Once you have toured at this interesting place, then drive through into floating gardens and villages to see how lives work on the water, visit houses, learn the technique of how they make floating gardens, jump off to see local products of Inle such as silver and blacksmith workshops, lotus and silks weaving making places, will then have lunch on the lake and visit to an important temple of Phaung Daw U Pagoda ( as a local saying, a trip to Inlay won’t be completed unless you visit this pagoda), then heading back to your hotel, and dinner will optional, either go out or at your hotel.

Day (7) Visit to a local school and Inle Dogs Rescue

  Breakfast is served at the hotel, then heading out to a local school on a bicycle. You will have fun biking, as it will allow you to take the backroads. Because the school is far from town, it does not get to receive much attention and struggles to give poor children access to education. When there you will have a conversation with the headmaster and have a chance to interact with the children. They will love the opportunity to try their English with you or recite what they have learned.   After checking with the school we will proceed to the Naung Shwe Dog Rescue Sanctuary where over five hundred dogs have been saved. Most of the dogs were once stray dogs gathered from the town and nearby. Now, these dogs have a better life. You will have the opportunity to meet the founder and learn the interesting story of how she created the rescue, and how she is working to educate the community to keep homeless and abandon dogs safe. After visiting this camp, you will return to your hotel to have a quick shower and head out to the airport fly to Yangon.   After landing in Yangon, you will go straight to your hotel to take a break for a while. In the evening you will wandering around food night market in the China town where you will have dinner. then heading back to your hotel.

Day (8) Morning Walking and Evening Shwedagon Pagoda

Breakfast is served at the hotel, will then your local expert will take you for a morning walking excursion of Yangon which will include a tour of British colonial architecture, and a visit to the Bogyoke Aung San market, which is one of the largest indoor markets in South East Asia. You will explore the market and enjoy lunch in the market mingling with local buyers and sellers. Afterward, you will return to your hotel to relax or enjoy the pool to avoid the afternoon heat. In the evening we will visit the world-renowned pagoda named: Shwedagon Pagoda. According to historians and legends, the Pagoda was built 2500 years ago. It is important as a religious site for worshiping but also for its 6th and 21st-century mixture of artwork which can still be viewed. After visiting the Shwedagon Pagoda, dinner will take place at a local restaurant to further acquaint yourself with Myanmar cuisine and customs. Overnight in Yangon, Myanmar    

Day (9) Fly Yangon to Kawthaung.


Leave the hotel after having breakfast for Yangon airport fly out to Kawthaung. After landing at Kawthaung Airport you will be taken directly to your hotel to drop your bags, fresh up for a while, will then explore around in the town on foot. And watching the sunset on a hill where you can overlook the hold town of Kawthaung. Dinner will take place in along the Adman Sea.

Day (10)  Kawthaung – Taung La Bo – 115 Island (Lunch, Dinner)


Once you are ready for islands, then leave the hotel for Myo Ma Jetty in Kawthaung and your boat starts departing to Taung La Bo Island where you can enjoy snorkeling and swimming for an hour, then cruise captain will continue cruising to 115 Islands group. While cruising you can do sunbathing on the sun deck on the board, chilling and reading. Enjoy dinner and overnight on board by 115 Islands group.

Day (11)   115 Island – 254 beach – 256 Bay (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)


Enjoy your breakfast on board. As 115 Islands Group is crystal water and worth to snorkel to see much colorful school of fishes, hard and soft corals. It is fantastic one of the finest islands to spend time on hiking and jungle trekking through the rain forest. You’ll find here are the very definition of pristine white and powder sand beaches. While having your lunch on board, your captain will continue to Lampi Island. 254 which is long with its white sand and semi-circle shape of the beach, it is one of the most popular among tourists. We go swimming and then continue to 256 where we can do kayaking among mangroves trees. Enjoy dinner and overnight on board.

Day (12)  Thay Yae Island – Kawthaung (Breakfast, Lunch)


This morning we will go for snorkeling and then depart back to Kawthaung. Cheers for your exploration and complimentary soft drinks before arriving back to Kawthaung. You should be getting back to Kawthaung in the late afternoon. Once you embark at Myo Ma boat jetty jump off the boat then drive to your hotel. Easy dinner at the hotel. Chill out and spend time with your travel mates.

Day (13) Borderland cross into Thailand

  There is a saying: All good things come to an end. And so we at Immersive Golden Land Travels must say ‘Tar Tar’ which is goodbye in Burmese. After breakfast, you will be driven to the Kawthaung Borderland Cross, we will assist you with documents and ensure you all is set and If anyone on the program would like to remain on your own or would like to travel to other countries in Southeast Asia we are happy to help and/or advise you with any questions or needs you might have.

Terms & Conditions


Rate: All rates at Immersive Golden Land Travels are non-commissionable, and include a 10% service charge and 5% government tax.


Payment: Immersive Golden Land Travels requests prepayment for all bookings. Full payment is required to be made 30 days before a program begins.


Child Policy: Immersive Golden Land Travels provides 100% Free Of Charge (FOC) for a child under the age of 2. We charge 75% for a child under the age of 8) who could stay with parents sharing a bed for accommodation.


Complimentary: Immersive Golden Land Travels provides 1 Free of Charge (FOC) program leader for a group of minimum 15 People.


Cancellation and No show: Cancellation must be made 30 days before the programs begin otherwise immersive Golden Land Travels  has the right to charge a cancellation fee as follows;

1). Within 30 – 15 days, before the program begins, would be charged 25%

2). Within 14 – 8 days, before the program begins, would be charged 50%

3). Within 7 days, before the program begins, would be charged 100%

4). No show would be charged 100%
